Im going through similar pain with my MB 6v just doesn't leave many volts if you get a slight voltage drop somewhere or the 70+year old dynamo doesn't send out enough to the 70+ year old regulator. People always say its a grounding issue etc etc but my loom was all newly done ive connected...
