I’m very interested in checking out the “Rocky Mountain Off Road Terrain Park” near Carthage off of U.S. Route 2. I want to get up there on a few weekdays soon to explore and then maybe look at setting up a bigger trail ride later in the year that would be very informal, along the lines of the Go Devil runs they do out west, but more inclusive. Vintage/stock up to M38A1/CJ5, for example. Trail rides but nothing scary or dangerous or damaging to our rides. I don’t want to break anything and no roll bar helps me to be more cautious indeed.
the Park seems like it might be a bit crazy on the big weekends which is why I’d like to get up there during the week to explore before planning a bigger ride that might need some bit of coordination. With just about every trail out there in Maine being gated or restricted, this place seems to be a viable way to get a group together for a ride.
Money is involved. $25 per person for twenty four hours of park time. The park has overnight camping, trailer parking, and other facilities, as well as a bulldozer and an excavator for anyone who gets in too deep.

let me know if anyone is interested

IIRC, the Minot park requires seat belts which gets me off the bus with them. I’m not figuring to do anything that requires seat belts. From what I can tell, the park in Carthage has no restrictions whatsoever on anything. I will find out as soon as I can find the day to go. Shouldn’t be that hard, but the Minister of War and Finance has quite a list for me for stuff to do…
