Spent some shop time today. Went to replace a U shackle. The original was 7/8 wrench and the new one was 15/16". Too lazy to find mt parts book, so asking which size is correct for a 47cj2a? I'm not changing, just curious.
Also, noticed my top end speed was not up to factory and it developed a very slight stumble on take off. I moved the metering up 1/32 and it helped a bunch. Still feel my top end is a tad off. Dwell is solid even at high rpm. Vacuum is around 15 but the needle is not real steady. Valves are quiet. Maybe too tight? Normally I can hit 60mph on smooth flat roads. Now she struggles a bit to hit 55mph. Plugs look good. Compression is about 102 and even on all 4.
Bone stock 47cj2a. Ideas?

I know you spend time on the trails near Nathrop. The gas station just south of Nathrop, white painted on the west side of 285, sells non-corn regular for customers outside of the front range (read that as lower volatility fuel) that has performed well me especially at higher altitudes.

Yes, that gas seems to do well. Been buying it for a good ten years or more. She ran better last year on the same gas. Something is a tic off. Ill find it!
